Bought Myself a Pinky Ring, Today

I had a pinky ring that my son bought me, over thirty years ago. Why? Because Chad asked what I wanted for my Birthday. When I told him a pinky ring, he wanted me to go and pick it out.
It was $20, not expensive but, I really loved it! Eventually, it cracked in half because the gold was so thin. I wore it about twenty years though!
Anyway, I purchased another pinky ring today. It's just a skinny, gold band and not fancy in any way. Probably because I like plain things, nothing frilly or showy. This is how I've always been.
I couldn't bring it home, because Katy, the clerk, had to mail it in to get it sized. She will call me when it gets back:) I can't wait!
I used to feel guilty, buying anything for myself. Now, this doesn't bother me in the least bit:) I'm not a compulsive buyer, which is to our advantage.

How nice you got a pinky ring you like. I used to be a big ring fan when I went out more often and to work. I had rings for most of my fingers, Now because I no longer have anywhere to wear any jewelry I wear one ring only and sometimes switch it off for another ring,

I have three rings, wedding ring, a (cheap) diamond and a pearl ring on my right ring finger. This pinky ring will make four:)

@RasmaSandra I have already started giving my jewelry away. Mainly, to my granddaughters and my daughter. When I'm gone, nobody will want these things.

About a month ago I went out with Dixie and she fell in love with a pinky ring. It was not so expensive but Dixie was afraid to spend that amount of money in her. I insisted. She bought it and she loves it. Small luxuries are part of our mental health.

@kobesbuddy I absolutly agree. Years ago, I quit smoking because it was either smoking or having vacations. I love to go out.

@kobesbuddy I do have an enphysema due to smoking. The oncologist founf it when I had my head to toes PET scan. But it seems that my bronchii and lungs are holding.

I wear two rings on my left hand, the ring finger. On my right hand, I wear a small pearl ring on the ring finger and the pinky ring is simply a narrow band.

I wear the same clothes, year after year until they wear out. Shoes and boots, I buy them more often and have three pairs of each. I don't care about style, just comfort and they look nice.

I love a pinky ring for my right hand also.
I had one that I wore for years also, and it split also, but of course I still have it in my jewelry box, I cannot tell you why.
I have a nice white gold slave ring that I should be wearing on my pinky finger, but it comes to a sharp point, and with being around the twins so much, I try not to have anything too sharp for fear of accidentally hurting them.
