Hi guys, I'm doing a quicky-job for a customer and all I had to do was set up a fake Twit account and Like/Repost some stuff for a few weeks. Right now, I'm getting the account going by following randoms and trying to make it look not so brand new. They don't want me to use my old one. Does anyone know how to get the blue checkmark next to your name? Everyone else has it, almost everyone. Apparently, everyone on Twitter is famous now. Soooo stupid Please tell me you don't have to pay for it, cuz I ain't paying for nothin. I'm the one getting paid. Not gonna pay to be on Twitter and get a checkmark. I looked it up and followed the instructions, but then when I got to the part for "verified" it just says No. Elon said no. Also let me know if that looks like me ^ in the Twitter profile pic. I'm supposed to be semi-incognito for this gig, so I lightened my hair and wore it kinda goofy on purpose. My niece says it still looks like me. Can't use fake pic either, they don't want that. Thanks team Will answer notifs after weekend Any info on checkmark would be greatly appreciated.

:/ Thanks NJ It kept saying as long as you have valid info and you don’t keep changing your profile pic and remain an active member, you will qualify for the check and they will review your account to make a decision. The having to pay for it part was kinda vague.

@Melanie_Marie - I have heard from many users that if you do not pay you do not get the check mark.

@Melanie_Marie First sentence under criteria at Anna's link is "Only accounts actively subscribed to X Premium are eligible to receive the blue checkmark." Subscribing costs moolah.

I’m sorry, but it requires money.

Wonderful. Probably why I wasn’t getting anywhere whenever I’d get to the “verified” part. Thanks so much Amber x

Hi sweet lady, because you are nothing on Twitter without that check mark. You don’t exist. Back in the day, it was all about adding friends and liking/retweeting posts that you resonated with. Now, it’s a bunch of brainwashed people working side by side with fake, A.I. accounts unknowingly, begging you to follow them and like their posts, trying to “hit” 1000 followers, believing they are making money off revenue by promises from Musk. Now it’s only about what can YOU do for ME. Members are on there from morning till night, no time for real life interactions. They might lose a follower. And we’re wondering why the population is going down. I have never in my life seen such a twisted rat race, and I’ve seen a lot of shady stuff in my time. Xx

Sorry I cannot help you with this. I have not been on Twitter for years because I do not have an account with them. I used to be able to look at other people`s posts without having to login or anything, but all that has changed since the new person took over the site. From what I can make of it, the site is not called Twitter anymore but something like X. I expect they want people to pay for thing s that were once free.
