Today's Surprise!

Changed plans again. We had planned on working in the garden today, but I forgot that my husband was taking a friend to Baton Rouge for a medical procedure today. So... I took care of my veggie plants/seedlings, watered elderberry and wisteria cuttings and walked around the yard a bit. I discovered some St. Joseph lilies on the side of the house closest to the road. There were 3 blooms on it (see picture above). That was a nice surprise. I also walked out to the garden and did a little bit of weeding. I didn't get started planting and thought we would save that for tomorrow or maybe later today. Have any surprises in your life today? Photo Credit: My own.

No surprises, but the wind is blowing and it is strong today. I could not go out in the garden.

We are still having the high gusts here just when you least expect it! I hope tomorrow will be nice. We need to get out in the yard and garden. Got to pick up limbs so the man can mow!

@LadyDuck My hubby went out today and was going to do some work in the garden and exclaimed, "Where did all these limbs come from?" I told him from the last storm that blew through and why I asked you not to mow and run over all the limbs to make picking up sticks harder on me the other day! Men don't listen at all!!

I love to find new stuff in the yard here. Since the house was built in 1860, there are some nice herbs found sometimes. I'm sure they were all used back then for medicines!

That picture is gorgeous! Surprises today? Yeah, actually, I got a Clinique product to test in the mail. Usually, I don’t get brands like Clinique for at home usage tests, so this was a nice surprise.
