This team has been amazing all year long and have worked hard throughout the season. They have a very talented team and lots of depth, which paid off today in the NCAA National Championship meet. The final four were California, Utah, Florida and LSU. The #1 team, Oklahoma fell out of the competition Thursday in the Semi Finals. The final results were: Champions- LSU 2nd- California 3rd- Utah 4th- Florida This national championship marks the 52nd one for Louisiana State University! Did you watch the championship on ABC? It is amazing to watch them. Of course, I always held my breath when my daughter competed in her youth, especially on the balance beam!

@kareng I think that it is different when you have someone of your family competing.

@LadyDuck One year after we had arrived at the State Championship meet and the team had warmed up, she came to visit me and her sisters before the meet started. When she hugged me I noticed that she was very warm. I went and told her coach that she felt very warm to me and her coach felt her forehead and agreed with me. I told her she better sit out. Her coach agreed. She refused. I was holding my breath through her balance beam routine with those flips on a four inch board. Geez. She didn't fall and had a good meet. I think it was bars that she got a first place finish in. When she got home we took her temperature and it was over 100.

I am glad they finally got there! I remember when my oldest daughter was on the feeder team for the college team years ago. The parents were asked to work the meets for Regional competitions when held at LSU! It was a lot of fun and hard work!

@snowy22315 I just wish that it would have happened for the old coach! She was called the Dean of Coaches because she had been there for so long. However, she finally retired and this new coach was a great choice for taking over!
