I'm Procrastinating

Nothing gets me doing things like needing to do something else! I have a house portrait I've been working on (that's the picture that you're seeing, above). It is very close to being done, and I figured I would be able to finish it this weekend. I told the client I would probably be able to finish it this weekend, and to tell you the truth, I'm actually pretty sure that I definitely COULD finish it this weekend– if I could make myself actually work on it. Instead, I spent yesterday, which was Saturday, doing various housework and decluttering projects, which is great and made me feel really good, except that I also feel slightly guilty, because I didn't do any artwork. And on Sunday, which is today, I have been doing a lot of writing, which is also really good, except it's also NOT finishing the portrait, which is what I'm supposed to be doing today. So, I have had a very, very productive weekend, and yet I haven't produced the one thing that I was supposed to produce, so that's kind of unfortunate. On Friday night, I actually did spend a lot of time doing artwork, but it was on a commission for a different client (I'll write more about that later), not the one who is expecting finished work this weekend!
