Slept late..breakfast..watched Gen Hospital...then took off to the bank, then my lotto store..found out I actually won $80 not $70. Went to the Schecher Outlet store. Wow so many SHOES! Gonna have to take my walker next time I go to another store other than one that has carts. My back hurt so much. I tried on one of those Slip-In shoes. Pretty cool. I was trying to get the shoe on, and could not get it on the regular way, then I stood up, and my foot slid right in. LOL I liked it, it looked like the shoe I had on, only it was black, and mine is not a slip-in and a grayish color. Had them for over 5 years, so it is time to replace. But, I think I will try Shoe Carnival tomorrow. I really didn't want a tennis shoe, kind of wanted a sandal like shoe, but with my right foot swelling..maybe not a sandal.
When I got home, Tom was home and had bought a smoked Boston Butt for supper, so I didn't have to cook. It was good. Grocery Outlet smokes them there at the store, and they are so much better tasting than Piggly Wiggly. I used to LOVE the Rotisserie chicken at The Pig, but now Everything is Smoked..and not sure what they use for seasoning, but YUCK! But after wearing my regular shoe instead of my house slippers , my foot wasn't swollen any more..Weird. I really need to get some Diabetic socks...I tried those socks that supposedly helps with circulation, but they were so tight I couldn't even get them past my ankle. Tom pulled them up for me, but after about an hour, my leg hurt so bad, and my knee swelled up..I need some that go up over my knee...I guess.
Anyway..tomorrow is an appt with the ENT doctor. Hoping ONE of these doctors can refer me to the vascular doctor. There is one across the street from my house, but you have to have a referal. Wish me luck!

I bought me some new shoes a few mons ago that are slip on's
& I don't wear them everyday just when I got out in public so I
keep them clean & not wear them out like I do most my shoes.
I don't know about the diabetes socks, I don't swell as most do
so I never put much thought into them for myself I can't stand
nothing tight on my body, So that I can't really say what to do.

Well, this is not just the diabetes...so I was told by my hear doctor...it is the circulation, but no idea how she could tell, since I have not had any tests to check the veins/arteries in my legs in over 5 years, AND she did not mention giving me any tests. LOL I am calling my Insurance Company today, to see if I can change Heart doctors. Tom goes to one, and they have done all kinds of tests on him. So I am going to see if they are in my network.

@Ghostlady That might be a good idea
I just had a talk with my sugar Dr on
line on the my-chart app & he asked
for my sugar level #'s I gave him the
whole month of April & to my surprise
what he said shocked me like
"Those sugars look good. I would continue
what your doing" but to see them you
wouldn't think a sugar Dr would say that.

@2ndchances24 Really not too bad...I only do mine in the mornings. The 1st doctor I saw that said I had Pre-Diabetes, was really into Diabetes. I hated having to change doctors when I changed Insurance. He holds meetings with Diabetics on Monday night once a month, and has been involved with Research on Diabetes. There was one woman there the night I went, that had been in the hospital with over 600 BS. She started seeing him, and started walking, then jogging, and now she runs. and her BS is below 100. No sugar, no bread, and only 60 Carbs per DAY. The Diabetic doctor I go to NOW, says 60 carbs per meal, 15 Carbs per snack. If I went by that I would be eating 6 times per day, and If I did that her way, I would be stuffed all day. Can't hardly eat much on the only Meal I eat per day. Had not noticed before, but I can eat 22 pieces of my Mexican Street Corn Cheetos and only has 15 Carbs, and 160 calaries...Not bad for a snack. I never eat all 22 pieces...and STILL have not lost any weight...Just don't understand.

@Ghostlady I've been wearing my very old pair for like ten years now, and I know I need to replace them, but I just couldn't find anything that I really like. So I'm thinking about getting the same brand. Call me dull, hehe, but I'm more into comfort than trend.

@MGjhaud That is my problem as well...none of the new styles are for my age, and look cheap.,,but can't afford the ones that I MIGHT wear. A lot of plastic and rubber..funny isn't it, that people are trying to quit making plastic, yet more and more stuff are being made from plastic. LOL Shoes, jewelry, and purses made of plastic...like Crocs. LOL

Yeah the pair I tried on was heavier than I am use to., and really loose in the heel area. When I walked in it my heel rubbed against the back of the shoe. It fit the middle of my foot, but loose in the heel area, and my toes were no where Near the toe of the shoe, and no way to adjust it...like a shoe with laces.

Good luck with your ENT doctor. I hope you can find a pair of comfortable shoes. I always have a tough time with shoes. A smoked Boston butt sounds so good. Have a good day.
