My son and granddaughter were supposed to visit us in Florida the weekend before they actually came, but my son called to ask if we would mind if they changed the date. I was so disappointed.
He has been a huge fan of the UCONN Huskies men’s basketball team for years. Since they made the Final Four and ultimately won the championship, he wanted to fly to Arizona to see them play. He was there for it all and met with the players and had his photo taken with many of them, including the coaches.
Fortunately, he was able to get tickets to Florida. He particularly loved his new hat and the Huskies t-shirts that you can see in the photo. Unfortunately, he left his cap under the lounge chair by our pool, and forgot about when we left the area on Saturday.
He called from the airport minutes before they left for NYC on Sunday evening. Neither hubs nor I could find it anywhere.
Hubs left notes by the elevators in both buildings, and I sent this photo to friends.
A day later, someone found it and returned it to us. Hubs mailed it out immediately. People can be so nice. I have not lost faith in humanity!

That cap was so meaningful to my son and couldn’t be ordered online. I was so stressed out for him over it.
Fortunately, we had a lot of nice people keeping an eye open for that cap. Unfortunately, we also have a lot of nutcases living here, too.

I'm glad things worked out and the hat was found. Not all humans are evil.

Thank you. I was so stressed out for him over that hat. I loved the material, too. Glad things worked out well in the end. Nice to know that we have a lot of great people living here that kept an eye open for that hat. However, we do have several nuts living here as well.

He was so relieved, because that baseball cap could only be bought at the venue. I even told him the material was great.
Here, we have some people from the Northeast and Connecticut, who had their kids and grandchildren visiting at the time. I was so worried that they found it and kept it.
I agree that there are many good people, but even here, we have a lot of nut cases alive and well

Yes... humanity is still alive. We do face manipulative and deceitful or arrogant people and some even dupe us in some ways.
Yet we always need to keep our faith alive.
Nice picture of your son!

You are welcome. A major cricket Tournament - T 20 World Cup is coming up in Caribbean and US starting from Mid June and there is a big cricket stadium in St. Lauderdale, Florida.

@just4him How awful for you! I’ve lost jewelry 3 times, and it still irks me to no end.
I wear baseball caps when playing sports or walking. I’ve been wearing sun bonnets for 2 years now when gardening. I’m not much of a had person, but sometimes when outside dining with friends, I will wear a fancy fun hat.
Yes, we were so thrilled and happy to get my son’s hat back. I really thought it was gone forever.

@DianneN I'm glad someone was honest and gave it to you.
I'm a hat person. I wear them everywhere. I had a hat once I left in a changing room. When I went back, it was already gone, and it was only a couple of minutes. I was devastated. It was my favorite. So, I know how happy you are to get it back and send it to your son.

I am glad the hat was found and it must be so frustrating that he chose the Huskies over you. Since I do not know who they are does it have anything to do with husky dogs or not? Please forgive my ignorance. I am glad that he made it to see you. Did he marry the lady he was involved with who had the cats?

This is my older son who is the father of my granddaughter and grandson. I understood why he wanted to go to the game, but was happy he was able to get a flight for the next weekend. The weather was more perfect, too.
Yes, the husky dog is their mascot.
My younger son is still with his girlfriend and her two cats. No marriage plans.
