My new food toy

Yesterday my immersion blender and its attachments arrived. I've been having fun with it ever since. Dump stuff in and see what happens has always been my style as a cook.
Today I made a fake cheese sauce for our evening meal. It turned out pretty well. The blender whizzed up all the ingredients very well. Fake cheese sauce includes a boiled potato and carrot. Nutrition instead of cow fat. Who would have thunk it? And of course good old nutritional yeast. And lemon and whatever spices you personally are in the mood for. The recipe called for oil. I slurped in a bitty amount of oil and its fine. Not exactly as cheesy as advertised but tasty.
And I got to play with my new toy!

@sallypup I like using the kitchen gizmo to separate the block of cheese into grains.

@arunima25 You are right about gut health. Do you mean milk curd or tofu? I plan to try substituting tofu for scrambled eggs,

@arunima25 I am a big fan of nutritional yeast. I even sprinkle some on my cat's food- he has health issues and can use the boost.

@sallypup That is a good way to boost his health. I take a good amount of curd to have good probiotic intake and to boost my gut health. Gut health effects our overall health.

Good for you! I have one, but I think I have only used it for soups. Maybe mashed potatoes?..but it does a great job on soup.
