Another Dr. Day Today

Monday was another trip to Baton Rouge and another doctor day. It wasn't for me this time, but for one of the twins. My daughter that doesn't have a car needed a ride and I'm the first choice. That is what mom's are for! Christy had a follow up appointment with the allergy/asthma specialist today. He wanted to make sure the new maintenance medication he gave her last 6 weeks ago was working. She had to do another lung function test and her results were good. She is improving, which shows the new medicine is working. After her appointment we did a wee bit of shopping before going to get her prescriptions. We woke up to thunderstorms today, but they moved on quickly and we just had light rain for most of the day. I was happy to not have to worry about pouring down rain and flooded streets in Baton Rouge. All in all a good day!! How was your Monday?

I'm glad Christy's results were good. My Monday was OK. Our housekeeper came over to do the trash and work on my "to-do" list. Have a good day.

My hubby thought his to-do list was unfair today and would get in the way of what HE wanted to do. I only asked that he do a couple of things and all together they would have taken maybe 10 minutes. That man is a mess.

@kareng Yes, I can't tell you how many weeks it takes for my husband to do a 10-minute chore. I feel for you!!!

@LindaOHio Today, he copped the bell peppers for me. I also had to point out that I needed the water jugs filled outside. He did both with no complaints. Now I can start a new list

I am glad to hear Christy's appointment went well and that the new medication is effective. It sounds like you managed to navigate the day smoothly despite the weather, and even squeezed in a bit of shopping, which is a nice bonus. It is great when things go according to plan, especially when it involves health and family.

It can be tough nowadays if you don't have a car. It's good your daughter has you as a back-up. Good news about the medication too.

Yes, it is a stare law in Louisiana and most of the states here in U.S. that you have to wear a seat belt.

Even if it involved a trip to the doctor, I’m sure it was nice to spend time with your daughter. I enjoy my mom role no matter which one of the kids I am with!

So glad your daughter’s meds are doing their job. All I did was pack and make decisions what to pack and what not to. My head is about to explode.

@DianneN Have a safe trip home!! I've been dealing with antique store owner today. Gave her my 30 day notice to move out. She didn't say anything. I asked for pro-rated rate on rent IF I moved out by the 15th of the month. She said, "That's fine with me if I can figure out HOW to do that." WHAT??? I was shocked and didn't say anything. This woman needs to be at home making cookies!!
