I've never taken one but cross-correlation with tests I have taken doesn't make me concerned. Granted it is better to be thought a fool than to remove all doubt.
I'm not fully convinced IQ is an adequate measure of intelligence. What do you think? If you know your IQ good or bad please don't share it. I just want to discuss everyone's thoughts on the subject.

I think they need to recognize that it is not perfect. I don't think a perfect test can exist.

Nothing recent but I remember when I was still in school we have this Guidance services that includes test administration, so yeah, I've taken IQ tests and other kinds of tests too usually administered in school to students by the Psychometrician/Guidance Counselor.

@koopharper If I remember correct we’ve had IQ test, and yes, aptitude test too, achievement test and personality test. I’m most intrigued with my personality test more than my IQ test which is just always an average result.

If I took one, I wasn't aware of it. I've been tested many a time, but I don't think putting pen to paper should be considered an accourate repersentation of ones intelegenance and skills.

I think IQ tests can be a useful tool but a lot of people put far too much stock into them.

Met a lot of people who supposedly aren't very smart and would not do well on an IQ test but I found them quite capable and wise.

In our days most IQ tests are NOT based on "intelligence" but on "education".
You can be uneducated because you did not go to school, but you can be very intelligent. I have tested some and, except one, all the questions were not based on "pure intelligence". That proves that those who create those IQ tests are almost never smart people.

I've also seen that you can actually learn to take an IQ test by becoming familiar with the type of questions that you get. I've also learned that you can think you're smart when you're not and you can mislead people into thinking that you're smart and therefore the person they should be listening to.

@koopharper Exactly! With the actual tests people can easily cheat.

You're probably above average and that would likely be true of most of the people writing on this site. I'm not saying that to kiss everyone's collective behinds but what is considered average is not very smart.
