Good afternoon! Time to share what you are reading now. Remember if you are reading more than one book and want to share everything you are reading, then please share all of them! I will begin. I am reading two mysteries. Mystery number one is a very new one called Patchwork Quilt Murder by Leslie Meier. So far it is excellent. I noticed that Leslie Meir always has some issues she works into the story. I will tell you without spoilers there are two issues in this book. they are mental health and government corruption. the second mystery is a Kindle Unlimited ebook called "Lemon Yellow Lies: Hadley Home Design Cozy Mystery Book 1 Emily Oberton. a great book about an interior decorator. if you love HGTV then this book is for you! As of now, I am going to read the whole series Now it is your turn!

I don't have any novels going right now. But my book of Mark Twain short stories is by my bed.

short stories are the best to read before bed. when I start reading a book before bedtime I end up staying up too late because I don't have a good spot to stop. With a book of short stories, one can stop at the end of a story at the end of a story unlike a novel

@LovesEverybody Yep. I'm miffed because Horse Jr. left my book of Sherlock Holmes stories in Europe, and it's still there.

I'm glad you're enjoying the two books you're reading. I'm reading Jacob's Trouble - an end times' story. It's the only one I started, but I have several others ready to read when I have time.

I just started one called Dark Mirror..I believe it is going to be a scary mystery like I like. I just finished You are Mine, which reminded alot of You..the stalker series on Netflix.

@LovesEverybody I think I will, but I just have read a few pages. You are Mine was quite good. That British author Diana Wilkins (Wilkinson?) I think is her name. She is fairly prolific and has quite a following I guess is the one who wrote it.

@LovesEverybody You is available in book form..but I wouldn't recommend it to you..It would scare the socks off of you.. I think you are a bit too impressionable for such things.

Do you like "Dark Mirror?" do you ever get scared from reading scary mysteries? I know scary books are one of my triggers because every noise makes me jump. I have heard of "You" but I don't have Netflix so never watched it. Enjoy your book!

@LovesEverybody Jay is allergic to animals, so Boo can never live indoors. A feral cat is wild, they live out in the forest, killing small rodents for food. During the winter months, they beg for food because there's not very much to eat.

@kobesbuddy what a sad life for those feral cats. Thank you for feeding Boo. The idea of a cat without a home breaks my heart.

Well when I'm not working writing on of my books, I've been reading Healing her Lions. It's part of the Embracing the bond series. Its shifter romances which I enjoy and especially this series since they involve all types of shifters and vampires. I'm interested in seeing if the author which I do sort of know since we chat online is going to add more of the witches or one of them being mated to a shifter of some sort. I think I've figured out who the next golden dragon is. There is only 1 female Gold dragon unmated so there has to be another dragon out there for her since someone had a vision of one coming. This is the last book of the series currently and I'm roughly 55 pages left to read.

@LovesEverybody I will finish reading it today. Then I have a 9 book series I plan to read for most of May which is a Mafia romance. I have tons of recommendations when it comes to shifter romances. The book I'm currently writing is technically a shifter book because it has merman in it and they can at will turn into a mer. I went an untradtional route but it fit what I typically write.

Right now I'm reading Watchers by Dean Koontz. My mother was wanting me to read it. I'm almost through with it finally. I'm reading next The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins. It is the prequel of The Hunger Games.

I have never read anything in The Hunger Games books. Have you read any other books in that series? My sister gave me a Dean Koontz book that I don't remember the title of at least 25-30 years ago and I didn't read very much of it as I found it too scary

I am listening to The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. I am reading The Incident of The Dog in The Night-time by Mark Haddon, and The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Alan Karlsson Have you read any of those?

@LovesEverybody I think my favourite character in House in the Cerulean Sea, will end up being Lucy. Not sure. I'm about half way through it. The 100 year old man, I chose by the title too. It's funny and entertaining. I think it turns kind of completely silly towards the end. But I'm going to finish it for my Book Club. The Incident with the Dog, starts out as a mystery. Not sure if it really is a mystery. It's written from the point of view of a boy with Autism. It's interesting to read. I'm enjoying it.

I love The House in the Cerulean Sea! I loved it so much that I read it in ebook form from the library, then after I was finished reading, I put my name on an At Least 6-month waiting list at the library for the audiobook. It was worth the wait! Who was your favorite character? Mine was Arthur. But if I want to be honest I loved everybody on the island I never heard of The Dog in the Night-Time. What genre is it? Even though I am not sure what it is about I have my eye for a while on The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. I have my eye on it by the title alone. I sometimes look for books at the library and choose to borrow them based on the title alone.

@paigea I like Lucy too! But in all honesty, I like almost every character in the book. I would like The Incident with the Dog as my doctor has told me that he diagnosed me several years ago as autistic. But I don't know which autism spectrum I am on. So I would love to read a book with an autistic character

Some time back I started a work of fiction by the author Michael Donnelly titled "The Narrows". It is a crime thriller. I read his "The Lost Light" last year. It was realistic, a bit disturbing at some points and nevertheless gripping and at no point did I feel bored. I have not been too regular with the current one but so far it presents with a backdrop of chilling murders and a very very shrewd villain i.e the killer about whom it is very difficult to know his next step. If interior decoration is what interests you, then you ought to meet my wife, as she has a great sense of aesthetics and how one can decorate the interiors.
