Hey everyone. I just wanted to pop in and give a brief update. I'm still here. No more accidents at the moment. Just a little busy.
Thursday I went to the antique store and turned in my 30 day notice to vacate my booth. I didn't get any surprised reaction from the owner--I think she was glad. I rocked the boat there. I stood up for myself. I will be moving out before the end of the month and that will give me time to find a good store to move too--hopefully. I am done with the two control freaks!
It was supposed to be a rainy day here today with thunderstorms so I planned to catch up on things here at home today. Laundry got done and I piddled here and there.
We had a bad night with the Dexcom. It was not reading correctly and alarms on both my phone and my husbands were going off at different times. So we didn't get much sleep last night.
That is why I'm heading to bed now. I will catch up some more here tomorrow!
Have a great Saturday everyone!

I've been rather busy, too. I know how it goes. I'm glad you stopped by. Sleep well. I hope your weekend is a good one.

It measures your blood sugar for diabetics. That way you don't have to prick your finger multiple times a day. My husband had no trouble with Dexcom G6 and then G7 came out and the doctor switched him. This is a sorry new and improved device!! We have had to send back at least 6 of them since last summer.

@moffittjc I don't know, but he will be asking if this keeps up. It's alarming to be woken up from a deep sleep by a shrill sound/alarm.
Obviously, this system is not an improvement over the old one. I do think it was not tested long enough or not by enough people.

@kareng Is there an option to go back to the G6?

I am so happy for you. I hope you find the perfect store with the nicest owner so you can do well.
I'm sorry the alarms went off on your phone at odd hours. I hope it corrects itself or you know what to do to correct it.
I also hope you got a good night's sleep. Have a blessed Saturday.

People that run antique and resale shops like that are always called controlling, but just think of it from their perspective. I have been on both sides, its a hard business for everyone involved.
What Dexcom do you have? The six or 7? The sixes are starting to crap out, since the 7s came out.

I have done antique stores before and usually the owners get a percentage of sales and therefore, are friendly, nice and helpful. This one just charges rent and pushes HER merchandise and the H_LL with all the rest.
My husband has the G7. The doctor switched him from the G6 as soon as the G7 came out. He had no trouble with G6 and the G7 he gets a bad one in each package it seems like. Pain in the you know where!! They either don't calibrate right or measure right. Or just go out!!

@kareng Well, it's probably like any other new tech, it hasn't had the bugs worked out yet. I would of stuck with the G6 and been insistent about it.

@thislittlepennyearns I also thought that it had not gone through a long enough trial period and testing before release.
If this keeps up, I think he will be asking about that the next time he goes to the doctor--that is if it hasn't been discontinued!

Dealing with technical glitches like the Dexcom can be incredibly frustrating, especially when it disrupts your sleep. Hopefully, tonight will be smoother for you and your husband.
