I promised to show you my completed macrame project – here it is. Not bad for a first attempt, I’m quite pleased with it and, most importantly, it does the job I needed it for. It actually didn’t take long at all, in one evening it was complete even though I had to go back and re-do bits a couple of times. Now that I know what I’m doing it is tempting to make some more. Making things is so satisfying and if they don’t take long then that’s a bonus in my life at the moment! The problem is I don’t think I really need any more. And I already have a whole lot of other projects I want to get to – building swift nest-boxes for example, and making new curtains for the kitchen. But those are not things I can do quietly while chatting to the others or watching something together. Do you like to do things with your hands or are you happy without anything?
