Sunflower update!

I see my first corn "stalk" poking through today in my balcony garden. And I have two sunflowers at about 5" each now. No green beans yet. The sunflowers were lying down yesterday afternoon when I forgot to water them in the morning. Can you guess how long it took for them to be turgid (erect) again after I watered them? Possibly deceptive hint: They get morning sun but no afternoon after 2 PM. To quote one of my 4-year-olds, "It's a 'speriment. That's science!" I didn't forget to water this morning. Do you have a garden growing?

My tomato plant looks healthy. Do tomato plant roots need "room to roam? I am not a tomato expert.

@TheHorse I often grow them in large pots with good success. Just need to fertilize a little more

@TheHorse I enjoy it! My hubby not so much His parents had a hardware store and they sold plants. They planted their own tomato plants. We had several dates of potting plants which was a whole family affair. He had four other brothers and they were all married, so wives would also pitch in and I also came along because that was the only way to see my now hubby! His dad also had a big garden so he has done his fair share of weeding! Oh and I figured out one thing I forgot from the list, Okra!!

I don't have anything special. I bought a strawberry plant for my friend for her birthday.

What fun! I hope it yields for her. Will you buy her whip cream for her next birthday?

I'm glad your garden is growing. We just have a front flower garden that we spent way too much for. It's looking kind of sad. Have a good week.

Oh oh. Let me go make sure my sunflowers are not limp. Flaccid. Tired. (Consulting my Thesaurus.)

I don't have enough room to try potatoes.
