Do you take vitamins?

I read that eating fruits and vegetables is better than taking supplements. But sometimes we can't eat some foods and we need vitamins. Some vitamins caused me side effects. I am taking vitamins C, D, and zinc. These cause side effects if I am taking them at night. If I am taking vitamin C at night I can't sleep. Other vitamins caused me nausea. Minerals can cause side effects too. Iron causes nausea. Do you have any side effects because of minerals and vitamins? But I still take them even if they cause some side effects. I will try to improve my diet. I am making a smoothie every day. A smoothie has many vitamins and it doesn't cause any side effects.

I regularly take my vitamins and mineral supplements. No side effects. Right now, I also take beauty nutritional drinks.

@dya80dya I probably won’t be spending money on it if I don’t.

@dya80dya Why you need to take such a high dosage? Normally, 500mg should be enough.

At present I just take calcium. As to other vitamins, I prefer to take them from the natural food. Perhaps sometimes it is not enough as you said, but it doesn't give me troubles now anyway. And I think I need extra calcium since I am starting to grow old

I take vitamin D and Zinc. They help with your immune system. D is also called the "sunshine vitamin" as it can perk up your mood.
Your right, when I took iron, I felt nauseous. Had to remember to take it with food.

I do not take vitamins anymore. I found too many of them include caffeine in the ingredients. I cannot have caffeine. I have done a lot of research over the past couple of years about what foods have the best nutrients for my health. There are so many options to include in my diet. These include meats, seafood, vegetables, and a few fruits. I don't do much with fruit due to the sugar content. One surprise I found in my research is the very high super food content in red radishes. I like having radishes and celery as a nighttime snack. Radishes can even be included in cooked foods.

I take a multi-vitamin, a prenatal and the hair, skin and nails. Three gummies, twice a day. I don't have side effects that I can notice. I know that I was extremely hyped up on caffeine for a while but that was the only major change I had seen in myself.

When I was pregnant I couldn't take iron because of nausea. It was so bad that I was losing weight instead of gaining. The dr told me to quit the iron and see if that helped and it did. So after that I had to eat a lot of leafy vegetables. And I love spinach so it wasn't a problem for me.
Now I take a few vitamins as I'm over 60. I feel it's better to try to get some sort of vitamins in me.

I don't consume that much meat so I take omega acids and vitamin B12 supplements. Additionally, I also take one multivitamin, though I am not sure whether the multivitamins get absorbed properly but that's about it.
