Bon Jovi Docuseries on Hulu

United States

I'm not a huge fan of rock n roll (country is more my speed) but raising teenagers in the 80s rock n roll blasted through the house. My daughter loved Bon Jovi and she's lost count of how many times she saw them in concert. Her room was plastered with Bon Jovi posters. So, when Hulu came out with this docuseries I knew she wanted to watch it. Perfect choice for a rainy weekend. We watched 2 episodes yesterday and 2 today. I have to say it was very informative and interesting. Hard to believe that Jon Bon Jovi is 60 years old. They're going back out on tour with both new music and familiar old music. It's all rock n roll to me

Thank goodness for the Tubi streaming app. I don't find alot to watch on that one in particular, but its great that you and your daughter spent some time together this weekend. My hubby laid down for a little rest until 2 and I am watching The Coopers, about Mandi & Georgie on youtube. We stream alot from that app.

@Marilynda1225 He slept for quite a long time, I was a little worried that he wasn't feeling good, but he was just over tired, spending 5 days a week with the girls can wear a person out.

@Juliaacv as enjoyable as spending time with the twins is fun it certainly can wear a person out. 5 days a week is a full time job no matter how cute they are

Sounds like a good thing. I saw a quite good documentary about all the music that came out of Laurel Canyon (in LA). It was done by Bob Dylan's son and featured interviews with David Crosby, Neil Young, & many others as well as a lot of music. Called "Echos of Laurel Canyon."

I was termed a "hippie" in my teen years. I loved all the rock music. Still do just don't listen to it as much. They are all getting old---darn it! But then, so am I.

@JudyEv You’re so sweet! We had this radio program called American Top 40, and I never missed it as a teenager. Casey Kasem gave some great backstories to songs, so why should I keep them all in my head?

The docuseries sounds too good. Husband is a big fan of Bon Jovi. We don't have Hulu here. Let's see if it's available anywhere else

It was really a very interesting docuseries spanning from his high school years and how the band originated until present day. It's hard to believe that Jon Bon Jovi is 60 yrs old

@Marilynda1225 sounds great. I agree. He still has that spirit and long hair but that is it, 60years have spoken

I started to love Bon Jovi in my late teens since I wasn’t allowed to listen to secular music for quite awhile. I had a wee bit of a crush on him.

I never was a Bon Jovi fan as far as his music goes, but he seems to be a nice enough guy. And I’m certainly glad they put him in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because he was one of the biggest stars of the 80s.

I'm glad you enjoyed the series. I only know his name. I didn't realize he was 60. I thought he was younger.
