Speaking from a place of ANGER....

Speaking from a place of anger or jealousy can often lead to regrettable outcomes. It's important to take a step back and allow emotions to settle before responding in any situation. This approach not only helps maintain personal peace but also preserves relationships and promotes constructive communication. When we speak from a calm and collected state, our words carry more weight and sincerity, fostering a positive environment for everyone involved. It's a practice that, while sometimes challenging, can lead to more thoughtful and respectful interactions. I am not a very short tempered person, but at time when I lose it, it's ugly. I do realize sometimes my anger has spoiled things further for me. So now practicing to take time off when angry or agitated...

It needs a lot of conscious practice to respond to a situation and not react to it. It's easier said than done. But we have to practice. Emotions overpower thinking and logic when we react spontaneously.

@Aansh13 It takes a lot of time. And still at times, emotions overpower. Well, that's natural

Oh I am short tempered, and I do lose it. And yes, it can get ugly too. That said, I am a mature person, and I tend to rationalize most of the things. Analyze and rationalize. Only when it does not fit there like a jigsaw puzzle, I flare up. And I forgive myself. This is very important for you. If others have provoked you into ugly reaction, it does not mean you did wrong. It is they who were wrong, and you had to repair them. I see it as me repairing them. My reaction will scare them and their families from behaving in certain ways I feel, with me or with anybody like me.

This advice is kind of unique and honestly speaking changed my perspective a bit. I do forgive myself often, because I hate holding on to and practice self compassion. May be I will seek this way once a while...

@vandana7 Hats off... Standing and putting a point has always been my agenda when I feel something is going against my ethics or virtue, while at times when I feel the person in front is too immature to understand the reason of anger, I prefer to take a step back for my mental peace and tells my heart he/she is an idiot, let it be

@vandana7 I like the example you mentioned, also couldn't agree more on the point you highlighted. If its about ego massage, then definitely not my cup of tea, what is wrong is wrong. I do the same, I leave it on Karma and GOD to handle it, once it gets out of mind...

I can be a patient person. However, if people provoke me and lead me to anger, they will see my evil sides.

I think temper control is important because ppl is easy losing mind when they are in anger.Smart or sensible thoughts came from calm emotion.

Absolutely, I think when I give time and react, I act in a better way comparatively.

Whenever I hear or see something that I don't like. I almost take one step back, and take a deep breath with my eyes closed. That way I can respond in more logical or rational sense rather than in a reactive sense.
