My cousin, who was stranded in Kyrgyzstan, makes it back home!

As you may be aware, there were recent clashes involving university students in Kyrgyzstan, resulting in Kyrgyz students forming mobs and groups that targeted foreign students from countries like India, Pakistan, Egypt, and various other Asian and Arab nationals who were studying in Kyrgyzstani educational institutions. Among these targeted students were females, and there were reports indicating the grave risk of rape and molestation they faced. What's particularly distressing is the apparent passivity of the police, who were captured on video as mere spectators rather than intervening to halt the attacks. My cousin, a medical student, found himself stranded amidst this turmoil. Fortunately, with assistance from the Pakistani government, he managed to return to Pakistan safely, without harm. The distressing situation took a toll on his family as well. His mother, overwhelmed with worry, was hospitalized due to false rumors circulating about his death, likely fueled by concerned relatives. Thank God she is better now after seeing him alive and well!

I am happy that he is back safe home. It is terrible that people loose their humanity and turn into monsters. I can feel the pain of the mother being a mother myself. Glad that her son is back.

I'm very glad your cousin is safely home. It's a terrible situation over there and indeed in so many countries. I can really feel for his poor mother.

Kyrgyzstan was a part of a Soviet Union so i thought of it as well organised and am negatively surprised by this. Really sorry for your cousin but i am glad he came back. i just read that there was some quarell a night between between local students and foreign students and this is the reason they reacted like this but, this is not polite or human. targetting females is the lowest a male person can get, shameful.

I'm glad he made it home safely. I hadn't heard about the turmoil over there. I will make this a matter of prayer.
