Road Trip to Jackson, MS Today

We finally got this little trip re-scheduled and made today. This was a quick little trip up the interstate to drop off my husband's new compressor, which is under warranty and quit working properly. He had a little surprise when he got there and wasn't happy about it. They charged him $65.00 to cover looking at the equipment to determine if the repairs were covered under warranty. He will get the money back IF it is covered under warranty. If not, he loses the money. He was not happy about that at all. This was a short trip, only about an hour and a half away--maybe a little more. On the way home we stopped at Cracker Barrel for a late lunch. We also stopped at Walmart when we got closer to home to pick up milk and another case of bottled water. That about sums up my day. What did you do today? Anything exciting or just a normal day? Grocery shopping day for us. We went out early this morning, I crossed the border to get my magazines in Italy, then we stopped at Lidl and Aldi for a few things.

I'm sorry they charged him just to look at the compressor to determine if the repairs were covered. Sounds shady to me. I had a normal day with a twist. Instead of Canasta, we played two other card games.

Right, and he didn't see that mentioned in the paperwork at all. I'm glad you had fun with the different card games. Changing the routine sometimes can make it all just as fun as what you expected!

I agree. He needs to read warranty papers. They better not come back with "this isn't covered" under warranty either. It's been in the shed when not in use. Just started malfunctioning and spurting oil out. It has a four year warranty, only 3 years old--remember he was stressing over getting it there in time. Geesh!! If they say not covered, they will be getting some BAD reviews and no more business.

Sorry about the fee. There shouldn't be any with a warranted product. I will be going to see my hubby today. Have a good day and a great long weekend.

Apparently this is a new thing with a lot of places and warranties. Because dumb people bring things in that were run over or damaged on purpose, they started doing this. A mechanic in a repair shop told us this. So I guess it is a "thing" now. Our world is changing too fast and not for the better either. I'm just wondering how much longer we have before we belong to the government and socialism. It's coming FAST.

It should be and better be. It just started malfunctioning and spurting oil everywhere. It has 4 year warranty on it. If they don't cover it, they will be getting some BAD reviews. That was not cheap equipment, over $3500.00.

Just another working day for me. Too bad about the potential charge to see if it is under warranty.

It has a four year warranty...don't know why it wouldn't be covered. It just stopped working and blowing oil everywhere. They better cover it!

Oh shopping sounds like fun!! It still has a year of warranty on it, so should be fine. The machine malfunctioned so should be covered. If not, they are going to get some BAD reviews!!
