The truth

I know this is hard to believe, but after having this pain for almost four weeks now, I fell Friday night.
After preparations for bed, I stood up, took two steps, and fainted. I fell on carpet and thank God I didn't hit my head, but of all things, I fell on my left side where I had been hurting for weeks!
Now I have pain on top of pain. It would be funny if it didn't hurt so much.
Yesterday I was extremely nauseous twice and slept off and on all day.
I slept good last night, but woke up early in a lot of pain.
But this afternoon (Sunday) I feel some better. More than I had any idea I would.
So, keep those prayers being said for me...you know they mean the world to me. I know God will continue to heal me and I'm being really, really careful not to fall again.

I am so so sorry what you have been going through and now falling and causing more pain to the same side that already hurt is not good.

@Hannihar I'm actually a little better for the first time in several weeks. I wouldn't be this well without God's healing power.

Linda, it's almost funny, but Dale won't let me even head toward the front door. I really am being extra careful and my pain is some better tonight. I'm so thankful for the reprieve.
How's your husband been today? How are you?

The fainting is concerning as that happened for a reason. Possibly low BP. If you feel worse please go somewhere for help. If you were to fall or faint and break a bone or two, that would definitely not help matters!! Just please don’t wait too long if you need to go!

My son has had so many falls due to balance issues caused from the accident. Luckily, it’s better than it was. With all of the falls, he has managed to have two concussions, three broken fingers, a big cut in his arm that required many stitches, a cut above his eye, and about two months ago he broke two bones in his left foot. His balance has improved significantly but he is still a bit shaky at times. Don’t get up quickly. Take your time and plan your moves. He says that helps a lot.
He has scared me so many times! Just take care or I will be forced to send all of my bubble wrap to your house!!!

OH MY, I know that had to hurt, it's bad enough
when old arthritis makes us hurt but to add more pain on top
of that HUM, I do all I can to stay AWAY from the pains I get.
I hope you don't fall or hurt yourself any more thank GOD
you didn't hit your head or break something, if I was you
I'd be going to the dr's to have a check up on what may
be going on cause things get brittle when we age.

@1creekgirl I have fibro as well, but not as severe as some. I have had a couple of falls in the last month and they do seem to have the backward effect of what I would expect, but I thought that was just me. I wonder if physical trauma like falls causes extra endorphins that soothe our fibro. You have a lot more pain that I do. I also think it is not wrong to say that prayers are soothing us. Studies by Duke University have shown that prayers benefit people even when they do not know they are being prayed for. I would think that knowing others are praying is even more effective.

I know this will sound weird, but you're almost right about the fall. I was really hurting up to early this morning, but I actually hurt a little less this afternoon. I suspect that some of my meds didn't agree with each other. And maybe the Fibro flare is getting better? I don't understand, but the pain being somewhat better is truly an answer to prayers.

@GardenGerty Wow, this is a most enlightening post, Heather. That could explain why I hurt some less after the fall. I thought that was so weird. I realized I didn't fall because I tripped or lost my balance, I fell because I passed out. I really think I was taking some of my meds too close together which increased the side effects.
And you and I know the absolute power of prayer. That's really interesting that God answers prayers for people who don't even know they're being prayed for! Actually, I did know that. I've seen prayers answered so many times.
Thank you again.
How's your Fibro now? I had it for so many years without really much pain, but these flares as you know are horrendous. Take care, too.

@1creekgirl I am going to talk to another owner in store down the road from where I am at. It is a vendor mall and has mostly antiques but she does allow other stuff--as long as nobody else is doing it to be fair.
The one from last week wants a little too much rent and commission. Doesn't leave room for me to make much at all.

@snowy22315 I did well again with the second nerve block and thank the good Lord it didn't throw me into a Fibro flare. I've done pretty good since Wednesday, still hurt but not like before. I got my Botox injections for migraines this am and that went well.

I feel like I have a three day slight reprieve until the nerve block on Wednesday. I'm really praying that this one doesn't trigger a Fibro flare, if that's what this has been since the first one.
