I don’t believe this

I wrote about the jigsaw with the piece missing. I came back from dropping some things off at the op shop/thrift store and blow me down, just off to the side of the board that I do my jigsaws on was the missing piece.
Sometimes a piece sits on a completed section and blends in. But I’d patted all over the board and had a really good look on the table to the side and on the floor. I just can’t imagine how I missed it. So here’s another photo of the now totally completed jigsaw.
I’m going to some friends for dinner tonight. We’ve only become friends here at the village and I’ve been telling them about the kangaroos and birds we used to see and our Music Shack concerts.
I’ve put 33 of my favourite photos on a thumb drive to share with them. If their eyes start to glaze over, I’ll leave the drive with them. I’m hoping 33 isn’t too many. I can remember being bored to tears at some of the slide evenings people used to have.

That's such a delightful surprise to find the missing puzzle piece! It must feel great to have completed it. Your dinner plans sound lovely too, sharing memories and stories with new friends. I'm sure they'll enjoy the photos, and 33 sounds like a perfect number to capture your favorite moments without overwhelming them. Have a wonderful evening!

@JudyEv That sounds like a bit of a hiccup, but it's great that you have another day to look forward to sharing those memories. I hope your next attempt goes smoothly!

That is the most outlandish thing, but I know those puzzle pieces can be tricky. If the slides make for good discussions they should not get too bored.

The cat in the pic really had its eye on that blue jay doesn't it? Maybe you could show the pics briefly so as not to take too long with each one.

I found it hard to believe it was sitting on the table. I thought I'd looked everywhere.

Thanks. They didn't know us in our 'previous life' so there is one of the house then several each of the Music Shack, the birds and kangaroos and of course Hercules, my pet sheep. I don't think it will be too many but I'll look for signs of boredom! lol
