Are you from a small town

Our current population is 394.
I found a link from some of our other locals that took me to a video about my small town
I am including it.
Of course it did not tell everything about this small town. It did not show the walnut grove that people planted a long time ago, looking to the future of harvesting the lumber. It could be an investment that pays off.
I guess this guy goes to lots of small towns. He did have an interesting story at the end.
Our population keeps decreasing, and that is sad. I wonder how long we will be any kind of town at all.

That makes me sad too. It makes me think of Hoyt, the tiny town my dad grew up in. As of this year it has 111 residents. I hope your place on the map manages to hang in there as I love small towns.
You know where I live. Our population is around 130,000.
*The town I grew up in has a current population of 3,900. As you might know by now, I did not like it. A lot of people were nice, but it had way too much crime.

I know where you are now, and I think I remember you grew up in Spencer. That was where my first husband grew up. There are some nice people here, and some not so nice. I liked that Mr. Wiseguy found help when his car would not start.

There is still lots of space in America, but I kind of want to keep it a secret. Only on holidays do we really have crowds.

I live in the biggest city by far of my country. Even my neighborhood is bigger than where you live.

I am not. I used to know someone who did and had to commute to work.

Yes, people who want a job often commute 30 minutes to an hour.

@GardenGerty In those small towns, you don't have much of a choice.

Our town has a population of 266. We always say that if you blink you will miss it. We live in the country about 10 minutes from it.

I have always had a wish to be part of a small town particularly when I see small towns in movies, I was born and raised in NYC but I have taken up the challenge and have written about my hometown,

There is not very much here, but it still is close enough to larger cities that we are mostly fine.

Our population is 3,435. Our population is growing as they take all that wonderful vacant land and put houses on it, way too close together! Our street has homes with nice acreage. We only have 1.25 acres; but it's so nice to have a nursery on one side, a home not close on the other and the home across the street is hundreds of feet away. It's sad that your town is losing people.

I live in an area now that is a rural area. It is not a town. This whole county though doesn't have much of a population base though..and man of these "lake people" of which I am one are not even here full time.

Decreasing, huh? Interesting. My hometown is a capital of the state so it's not too small. Since as far back as I can remember the town has remained right about the same size. At about 236,000.

When I was small we lived in my town which is currently my hometown. We were a population of 12,000. Which is not small like yours. But I always dreamt of living in a small town with population not above 500. I have always been in slow living and loved it. Now that I live in this city I feel very exhausted. I al surely not a city girl. Wish I could go back to my slow life someday.
