Half way justice

The Pune Porsche case in India is on news everyday for now. The doctors of a hospital took bribes to change the blood samples to prove that the underage driver was not drunk. Second test proved them wrong. My contention is, once you know that the forensic department head is likely to be involved, why not reopen older cases where he issued similar certificates, and take those involved by surprise. It would rectify the injustices of the past... Just sad that judges are misled.

That's awful to think that so many are willing to be bribed.

@vandana7 No. Certainly not such blatant bribery. I'm sure there is some but it's kept very much under wraps.

Sad that so many are fine getting money to hide the truth... politicians do not even need to bribe, they are important enough to obtain fake certificates.

Threat that power imports. Shouldn't the fact that they discovered a doctor to have accepted bribe be a good reason to open files of all his previous certificate? Who knows an innocent maybe languishing in jail because this man had accepted bribe in the past to implicate an innocent.

@LadyDuck Protectors too would be afraid to help because they too would be exposed once so many cases come up, right? That is the way I would move anyway.

@vandana7 Of course I would investigate, but may be he has "protectors" and he will escape justice.

I wonder in how many cases he took bribes and did not get caught. This is a high profile case, so it got the media attention.

Unfortunately, in this country doctors can be bribed, police can be bribed, and even politicians can be bought. Though Our respected PM declared loudly " Na khaaunga na khaane dunga". This was just an empty promise. We saw many state governments toppled in the last few years as elected members were bribed.

He has achieved nothing. He is so focused on others, but didn't know anything about the parties he was joining hands with? Sengar, Revanna...and now Ajit Pawar. How is it possible? When Mahua's phone records were asked for, they should also have taken similar measures with all MPs to identify whether others are doing something similar, out of ignorance.. When National Herald property was found to be understated in value, the values of properties in the surroundings too had to be identified. But then, their own folks would be exposed, right? And now that the doctor has been exposed as taking bribe, is it not the right thing to check his previous certifications? Based on which some judge may have erred in giving wrong judgement? Tax all cars that can be run at higher speed...large cars...annually 150000 in addition to existing tax. This should bring down demand for such cars, and also traffic congestion, not to mention such rash driving. In this case the entire property in the name of the boy should be taken and even the parents and grandparents should be made to part with 50 percent of their entire property. Part of the money should be used to compensate the family of the deceased, part to improve law and order, and part to upgrade the police department such that crimes can be solved faster, and part as a fund for other innocent accident victims, who cannot be compensated adequately from their accident.

We are safe as long as we don't interfere with others. Beyond that, there is nothing we can do.

What if the shoe was on the other foot? What if their own child was the victim? Would they have liked another person to accept bribes, and in the process preventing justice to their child?
