When it comes to buffet I do not do justice to the food that is kept there I am a small eater and I any day prefer to go the A la karte way We had been to a beach resort the other day and had a buffet breakfast and there were umpteen number of items laid there but I just picked up a couple of things and that's it What's your choice?

I surely prefer à la carte, I eat very little and I am not interested in putting a lot of food in my plate.

@LadyDuck You should see the waste at the Big fat Indian Weddings Earlier whatever was left used to be sent to orphanages but thst is banned now Not what guests leave in their plates but what is left on buffet tables and in the kitchens. .

@allknowing Finally there are places that now apply a surcharge for food left in your plate, only in buffets. I am very glad of this, people can get up and get more, where is the reason of put so much food in the plate?

A la karte is a term I don’t recognize. I love buffets but I ear so much I feel sick for hours after. I’ve only been to breakfast buffet once though otherwise lunch and dinner buffets.

When you order for specific dishes that is called A la karte. Is that what you wanted to know?

I am a picky eater , therefore a buffet will give me a wider choice.

I do not go to buffets very often. I cannot eat very much food at one time like that.

I'm a bit like you. I'm a small eater too. If I have too much on my plate, I will have to leave some of it.
