Health Update: They Found Something Else

Thank you for all the kind words on my last post which was also a health update. I mentioned I had to go to the hospital for three more CT scans and unfortunately one of those scans showed I have a renal artery aneurysm. Apparently, 25% of the people who have had SCAD heart attacks also have this type of aneurysm. Fortunately, it is too small right now to require surgery. It's in the "watch and wait" stage. I am grateful for that. These sometimes burst, and that can cause death, but it is rare. The doctor said I need to keep my stress level and blood pressure down. I am trying! It seems the more tests they perform on me, the more things they find wrong. Oh well, I guess it's better to find things sooner, rather than later when it's too late. Have you ever heard of a renal artery aneurysm?

With CT scans, often they find something they aren't looking for, and that you've had no symptoms for. If it's tiny, and they monitor it, it will be OK. It's good they found it early while it's small. Of course, it would be better to not have had it for it to be found in the first place, but it's good it will be monitored, and that it is tiny. I'm sorry, you have enough to worry about.

No, but I did take high school anatomy twice. I do know about the human body and the fuctions of all the various systems. So, if it can exist, then anything is possible.

No, but I don't know about the different types of aneurysms other than brain and abdominal. Maybe practicing meditation and prayer would help

No, I’d never heard of it. The Cleveland Clinic’s website says that 0.1% of the population gets one, so you’re a special person indeed! (You didn’t have to get one for me to know that, though. ) I’m thankful they found it “early” so they can monitor it! Praying for you!

The more tests, the more likely we find issues with our bodies. I have never heard of renal artery aneurysm. I am sure you will take care of this to keep it under control.

That is one of the reasons why some people dislike going to the doctor - they are afraid of what might show up, but it is best to know. Best to find out before it is too late. Sending up prayers for a good outcome.

I've never heard of this and I'm sorry it's what you've been landed with. The only good thing about it is that you now know what is wrong.
