Last day of school and graduation coming up

Today was the last day of school here. My son passed 10th grade and my step son passed 12th grade. My stepson had his last day
We got news today that instead of my stepson leaving for boot camp July 7 he is leaving early on June 24 as they didn’t have enough people in the platoon. It’s too bad as it’s less time we have to spend with him and his father took off the week of July 4 to spend with him before he left.
The graduation ceremony is this Saturday. Last week was class night where he received two awards for entering the marines. Then the following Saturday is his graduation party here at our house. I really wasn’t expecting him to pass and was so nerved up about it that I didn’t get anything planned so now with less than two weeks I have to pull off a big celebration.

Tell your son congratulations! I am sure the celebration will be great!
My nephew graduated last Friday! My sister texted me a picture of him in his gown and he turned into such a fine young and handsome man!

@LovesEverybody our school had a live stream so people who couldn’t be there in person could still watch it.

@shaggin I think my sister said my nephew's school had a livestream but I am uncomfortable doing things like that alone. Plus I was sleeping by the time the ceremony started.
My sister did buy a DVD of the ceremony so the next time I go to her house I can watch it as I do not have a DVD player.

@LindaOhio I am hoping his party tomorrow will be wonderful for him. I just finished the centerpieces and have cooking left to do tonight then decorating tomorrow.

Thank God he passed. I guess sticking it out and showing up worked in his favor. I really hope the military is a positive experience for him. One less person in the house hopefully less stress. Congrats on your son passing too..Love your flowers.

@snowy22315 he graduated by one point that’s how close he was to failing and his entire future plans being ruined. I’d been to stressed to come here. I’m looking forward to planning this graduation party now. I’m doing a fishing theme to go along with his 2024 grad party decorations. Less stress maybe then again my husbands been worse so I think he’s worried about him leaving and I don’t know if he will be worse once his son is gone and he’s missing and worrying about him.

@shaggin He hung in there. I think that is the main reason he graduated. It is still something to celebrate.I think you may have to start figuring a way out of that marriage. I mean how much are you willing to go through? You aren't happy and neither is he, sorry though, that is a very tough place!

@snowy22315 I’m willing to go through a lot to keep him from raising our daughter himself. He’s a bad influence and with living together I can try to show her how to be a good person and that his behavior isn’t right etc.

@allknowing the parties wind up so busy it’s hard to have time to even visit with anyone. The planning definitely is more fun.

@sallypup thank you. I’ve been so busy planning his graduation party I haven’t been able to get here much. His party is tomorrow. I’m waiting for my little one to go to sleep so I can finish making the food. I’m exhausted I didn’t sleep last night and have so much to do for tomorrow.

@GardenGerty a month ago or so he was failing 5 classes and he managed to pass all of them and one class with one point. We found out on class night he passed and so about two weeks to fully plan a large grad party. I am very shocked and so glad he passed.

@RasmaSandra today I picked up half the groceries I will need to make food for his party and also got the photos I needed to have printed and I put them in frame. Tomorrow I will be working on the table centerpieces.
