We do not have a dishwasher by choice as from what I have heard from others a lot needs to be done before they are placed in the dishwasher Might as well dothe whole thing manually.
We have a draining basket where washed dishes are placed in such a way that they do not fall over each other so that draining is perfect.
Some items that are required for use in the early hours of the morning are separately kept.
The dishes are ready in the basket nice and dry.
Do you have a dishwasher?

I have a dishwasher in my apartment but I never use it
I much rather wash my dishes by hand to know they are properly washed, rinsed and dried.

@LadyDuck The draining basket that I use dries up the dishes overnight and I do not have to wipe them.

We don't have one. If there's a kitchen appliance that I won't buy it would most probably be a dishwasher. It never crossed my mind to purchase one. I'm very much fine with washing the dishes by hand.

I think dishes turn out cleaner if washed by hand.
