Banana Halwa

The entire hand of the bananas that we had harvested is fully ripe. I have kept them in the fridge although bananas are normally not kept in the fridge. There is no other alternative. I do not think I can keep them in the fridge for long I am planning on making banana halwa. You just mash the bananas to a paste and add the same quantity of sugar as that of the banana paste, Cook it and as the halwa is getting formed add ghee and cardaomom powder. Spread in on a try that is lined with ghee. Cut into pieces when cold. And do not forget to eat!! Image credit:https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Banana_Halwa_South_India_Sweets.jpg

You have to keep stirring and the indication that it is ready is when it leaves the sides.

That should be extra sweet, seeing ripe bananas are already sweet.

Sugar is needed for the binding. It will not harden otherwise.
