Men no longer need to envy women's footwear

I saw a man on TV and caught a glimpse of the red soles of his shoes (normal looking loafers). I thought, "Well, I wonder if those could possibly be Louboutins because of the red soles." I had no idea Christian Louboutin now makes shoes for men. I looked on the website and sure enough, there they were. And they're only $2,000 a pair! And then I saw probably the ugliest pair of women's heels for around $2,900. (See photo above.) Seems to me that's an awful lot of money for red soles. I guess some people have more money than sense.

I have never understood fashion. I have never liked that often women's shoes cause harm to the foot.

I always assumed high heels were invented by a woman-hating male. But I don't know the truth.

@TheHorse I don't know. I have seen elderly women who used to work in offices. The women had foot issues and they said it was due to being required to wear high heels while working.

Why is it the more expensive they get, the uglier they are!

@1creekgirl I hope that not all expensive things are ugly. But it means nothing to me as I buy not very often the only footwear I can use now and I feel that they are very expensive. I mean my beloved Skechers.

They are not very attractive shoes that you've shown here. I think that before buying a designer pair of shoes, I always look for comfort and good materials.

@1creekgirl I am the same but not in the thousands of dollars, shave off a zero and then I am fine with the price provided they are comfortable and made from good withstanding materials.

You are so right, sometimes I have the feeling that the quantity of money is proportional to the commons sense, the more money, the less common sense.

That would probably keep me in shoes for many years! Unless those are real pearls, how can they justify such a price tag?

I doubt they're real pearls because some others were even more expensive.

@LindaOHio Oh man, that's awful! I know you're both so disappointed to miss your visit. But listen. You have every right to complain with all you all have been through and are still going through. On here, it's not complaining, it's sharing news and feelings with people who love us.

@1creekgirl I'm glad to hear it. Not that I have a right to complain; but just as I was going to shower last night, my back went out again. Had to cancel seeing my husband today. :-( So annoying.

@1creekgirl Good thing I do not wear heels. That is an awful lot of money to spend on shoes. Some like their shoes, some like other things so they splurge on what they like. Mine used to be hats but I like clothes and t-shirts and the evil one that bothers only me stretches them out.
