My husband was a little grouchy when he called me "last night"; but it was actually after midnight this morning. He had another hard session; but he feels that with someone to walk up the stairs with him, he could do the garage steps now. He still cannot get in and out of bed without assistance.
I had planned on seeing him today; but my back went out on me again. Very annoying. I wanted to get that paperwork signed. Maybe I will be able to go in the next few days. I am still having some pain from the UTI; and I only have 2 pills left. I'm hoping I don't have to have a lab test again.
Had to buy a 50 pack of ketchup packets from Walmart because hubs uses so much ketchup when he eats his fast food meals or beef meals that he gets for lunch and dinner from the staff. lol
Thank you for your continued support, prayers and thoughts.

Can you call your doctor and ask for a refill? That seems like a short course of antibiotics for a UTI. (Well, I’m on antibiotics all the time for an immune deficiency, so what do I know….) I thought the “standard course” was ten days.
Anyway, I hope he gets stronger (like that Chicago song, “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day”) quickly!! And I hope you get feeling better.

@LindaOHio — the immunologist says, in reality, being on the Amoxicillin all the times is, as he puts it, “the lesser of two evils.” He says the problem comes from going on and off antibiotics all the time. And, surprisingly, there’s now some studies backing the use of antibiotics for an immunodeficiency problem. He said he felt so good (and probably vindicated) when studies backing the use of antibiotics were presented at immunology conferences.

Thank you for your concern. I'm sorry to hear about your immune deficiency. It's not good to be on antibiotics that much. My PCP ordered another urine test and a blood test so we shall see.

@FourWalls I have to take Amoxicillin every time I go to the dentist, etc. because of my knee and hip replacements. One of those strange things.

I'm sorry you won't see him as planned because your back went out. I hope it feels better soon so you can go see him and get the paperwork signed.
It sounds like he's doing well with stairs. Soon he should be getting in and out of bed too.

Our housekeeper's mother took the paperwork to get it signed. Thanks. The pain comes and goes. There's no rhyme or reason to it.

@LindaOHio I tend to stay away from those packets because they have high fructose corn syrup in it. But if that's the only thing available I will use it.

@LindaOHio I am sorry you are still in pain. I would have gone to Urgent Care to get medicine same day if my doctor wouldn't take care of it!!

It's annoying because sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for it cramping up.

Thank you. Aside from the pain, it's just annoying since there's no rhyme or reason for it to cramp up.

Even though the visits are very important not y ou have to take care of yourself and it sounds like you are in pain and need to take it easy so you can be in g ood spirits when you visit him. It is sad that now they are pushing him when in the beginning they could have worked with him and now he would not have to be pushing himself. You take care and hope someone helped you with the ketchup. It sounded like it was heavy.

Thank you for your concern. The back pain comes and goes. Nothing that can be done. The ketchup was very light -- it was those little packets. Have a good day.

PT must be helping if hubby is complaining. Sounds hopeful that he'll be able to come home.
I feel bad that your visit had to be cancelled but I hope you feel better and that you don't have to have another lab test. Certainly hope your back feels better Linda.
