An official with the Amherst New York Animal Control came to the rescue of a male deer who was wandering in the neighborhood with a mini basket attached to his head on Saturday June 1. The deer had the mini basket over his face antlers for a period of two weeks according to the Amherst Police Department when the animal control officer. An employee of the Fuzzy Lawn Service saw the deer who was able to survive despite having a mini basket over his head and antlers. The employee of the animal control was able to sedate the deer in the nook of the church where the animal control officer was able to have the net cut off of his antlers within one minute. The deer then was awakened by the same officials so the deer could run free once again. Link is upi.com/5421717530764 via @upi

I am glad they were able to help the deer, but I wonder why it took two weeks to help him out.

I guess there was a shortage of animal officials who had time to take care of the deer.

I would also stay away from a deer myself.

Wild animals can get in trouble, if they're not careful! I'm glad this deer was set free:)

I'm so glad the net was taken off of the poor deer. I'm surprised it survived for so long.

I wonder who would do that to the poor deer.

The deer likely was curious when his antlers got stuck in the mini basket.
