Normally I wouldn't buy corn on the cob from Walmart but made an exception when we had a grocery order delivered over the weekend.
While shopping I saw fresh corn on the cob for 27 cents an ear. For that price I figured it wouldn't be an expensive choice if it wasn't good.
Pleasantly surprised and the corn was sweet and delicious. We grilled it on the barbecue along with hot dogs and had an easy dinner.
I already added more to my cart for our next shopping trip and hope it's as good. Usually I buy corn on the cob at a local farm but Walmart didn't disappoint.
Guess what we're having again tonight? If you guessed corn on the cob you'd be right

I am so happy you enjoyed your corn on the cob. I adore corn on the cob but I get very sick when I eat any kind of corn. Corn is the worst of the foods I can't eat, unfortunately

@Marilynda1225 That is okay as I have plenty of other foods I can eat.
it must have been some years because I don't even remember how I made it.

@Marilynda1225 Maybe one of those farms that you like to go to has a contract to supply Walmart.

I was skeptical that it was a little early for good corn on the cob but it was delicious

@Marilynda1225 Same here. I usually get it in August in Montana. I'm not when the earliest corn is ready here.

@Marilynda1225 It's fantastic. By the time I am near a Walmart, they may not have that price again. It would be great to get some to grill.

I love pleasant surprises like that. Though it has been a while for us, my husband and I have had good produce from Walmart.
Now that I think about it, we have a gift card for Walmart. Hmmm, maybe we'll check out ... guess what? If you said cob, you would be right.

I like corn on the cob and sometimes love it. Food Lion has it cheap all summer I get pretty tired of it by August though

Glad to know you can get good corn on the cob at Walmart, When I order my monthly groceries I usually pass up the fruits and vegetables,

We do not have local sweet corn yet, maybe in a week or so. The Walmart closest to me has the most horrible produce department ever...nothing is ever really fresh or good there. But I am not a Walmart person, so there's that. I love good corn on the cob, so does everyone in my family.

Every beach outing included a roasted corn on cob. It is years now that I have tasted one.

We sometimes buy a cheaper product, find out that it's really good and wish we'd bought more! lol
