The lightning burned my portico's fan coil and increased my heart beat

I found this strange. On the 22nd of June we had torrential rain in my city and there was terrible lightning which burned my portico's fan coil that I got repaired and my heart beat increased by the sound of the lightning that subsided after a few minutes. Has anything like this happened to you during rainy season? This was my first experience.

We have had one of our coconuts hit by lightning, a burnt fan and a tv that needed replacement. We now wiser we put off the main when that happens

I can't switch off the mains as my hands can't reach there. Moreover my inverter is connected to it.

We've had lightning hit a tree near the house. I think that increased my heart-beat too!

My heart beat never increased earlier. I think it increased because of my heart ailment now.

Hope so. I pray to God every day that we get normal rains.

Lightning can cause some damage , depending on where you are and if the storm is severe.

It sounds like a fear response. My heartbeat increases during storms but that's for two reasons. One, I don't like storms unless I see them coming. Two, I wait for the tones to drop to call us out as my husband and I are first responders

We don't have any such warnings so the catches us unaware. The met department warned of rains but not storm.

We don't have a rainy season here, but anytime there is a close by storm here it is concerning.

That's really a matter of concern. Storms are devastating.
