@DianneN called me last night to thank me for the Birthday message I left on her phone. We had a nice 45-minute conversation. She is doing fine...just busy as usual. She is hoping that when fall comes and she's not as busy in their garden, etc., that she will come back to MyLot.
The Lone Star Tick, which can cause a red meat allergy and alpha-gal syndrome (a sugar called alpha-gal is present in some meats and dairy), is spreading across the US. Usually in the southeast, climate change is allowing them to spread as far west as Wyoming and as far north as Maine. They are aggressive and more likely to bite. The Lone Star tick also can cause Heartland virus and Tularemia (rabbit fever) which, if not treated properly, can be fatal.

I believe we are to the point that if the sun goes down tonight and rises in the morning, they will blame that on climate change. Ugh. What a load of hooey.
For dinner we had hot dogs on buns with a side of macaroni noodles cooked with some butter, queso and Parmesan and we had buttered peas as well. Good eats. The food was a little too hot, though. I think climate change got into my burners or something. Oh well. It is what it is.

Climate change, whether it is cyclical or human-caused, is happening.

@LindaOHio I will agree it is through natural causes. But never human-caused. The problem is, when they say it IS human caused, they create costly regulations that do nothing and can do nothing to solve the problem, and on top of that they tax us for it in various ways. Keep in mind that $1.6 trillion dollar "Inflation Reduction Act," was actually a climate change bill and had almost NOTHING to do with inflation reduction, BUT we still have to pay for it.
I also do not believe conditions are as dire or as severe as they constantly suggest. I implore you to go back and look at every single prediction that has been made attributed to climate change over the past 50 years. Not a single prediction has ever come true.
Not one.

One of the two ticks I showed the doctor was a lone star tick. I was glad testing said I did not have any of those infections.

Happy birthday yesterday to Dianne! She’s such a sweetie, and I miss her when she’s out doing “real world” stuff and not here.
Yesterday was chicken taco salad for lunch and chicken & dumplings for dinner. And yogurt and apples!

Her birthday was a while ago. I like to live vicariously through her.

I hope Dianne had a Happy Birthday. She's probably the busiest person I know. It's nice that you were able to have a nice chat with her.
Yesterday we had spaghetti and meatballs.

What else do we have to worry about in the world? Stuffed shells sound good, depending what they are stuffed with. I had pizza yesterday
