The biggest rose bush!

A house just down the road from us has this enormous rose originating in their garden. I can’t really say ‘in their garden’ because it isn’t really. It towers over the road but many people pass beneath without even noticing it because it’s so high up, unless they have a good sense of smell when they notice something and start to look around. It must be three times the height of the house (you can just see the corner of the two-story house on the right of the photo). Quite a stunning sight! Roses seem to do well around here. I’m thinking of putting more in my garden. All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2024.

This is normal rose bush. The picture has been taken by me.
It does not look like a usual rose bush. It seems a different kind of roses. The normal rose bush does not go so high.

Some climbing roses will keep going as long as they can find something to climb. There's another striking rose not far away, although it's nowhere near as big - again most people don't notice that it's there!

@Fleura I am not sure if flowers on climbing creepers are called roses.

My goodness, that's huge. Is it a climbing, going up another tree? I've never seen a rose that high.

That is simply awesome! It gets into the category of Bushy tree perhaps? So did you put up the rose in your garden and how has the outcome been?

No I haven't planted one in my garden, I don't have a suitable place for it. Unless I could plant it right next to our boundary so it could climb our neighbour's enormous trees!

I suppose that this is a "vine rose" that climbed on a tree. We have a similar one in the garden in front of us, it climbed the fence and it's covering a wall of the house.
