I had a delicious breakfast this morning. It was a pain du chocolat. Kind of a chocolate croissant but flat. I got it from Aldi. It came as part of a six pack. I got these because they didn't have too many calories per each pastry. It was delicious with milk. The only bad thing is that I will now have to go get more milk as using it this moring made it low. I had hoped not to have to go shopping for anything during the heat wave..but can't be helped. I need to have milk. What did you have for breakfast?

I love "pain au chocolat" this is something I used to buy at the French bakery early in the morning for our breakfast. I did not try those sold by Aldi, I will. We had an English Muffin with cream cheese and fruits.

It's pretty good. Target stores sell a chocolate brioche bread that is really quite good. It has lots of chocolate.

@snowy22315 I have seen that Ferrero now produces Nutella filled brioches. That is something I am not going to buy.

@LadyDuck Do you think you would eat too much of it?

I had a flat bread with peas and sugarless ginger tea. I began staying off sugar from July 3 this year for health reasons. I just hope it does not make me lose more weight - 110 lbs is where l hope to stay.

I suppose it depends on how much of it you eat. If you lose weight from not eating sugar you may defeat the purpose of staying off it for health reasons. Losing more weight does not sound advisable.

@Kandae11 Well yeah, but fruit is healthy for you. Beyond losing weight you don't want your blood sugar to get too low. YOu won't feel good.

@snowy22315 Hidden sugar is in lots of foods, and fruits too. What l have stopped doing is adding sugar to my tea , porridge or other beverages. No cakes or cookies either.

We went out for breakfast this morning, I felt it was a bit too hot to cook myself. We each had eggs, bacon, and toast, he at my home fries. I picked up some sweet corn yesterday after we got home and will cook some of that up for supper tonight. I took out some T-bone steaks and will wash some potatoes.

I ate about 8:30. My stomach was telling me I needed to put something in it.

@snowy22315 Most days I don’t eat early. I have my first meal between 11-12.

@Tampa_girl7 I always eat early. Usually my stomach is pretty empty and even if it isn't it kind of gets my day off to a good start.

We had toast made with sourdough bread that had fruit in it. We always seem to be running out of milk too.
