Dreading Midday!

My favorite time of day is usually early morning - fresh cool air, sunrise, chirping birds, brand new day full of possibilities.. These days, extreme weather is making me love early mornings even more. In fact, l am beginning to dread midday and early afternoon. I am not a tourist so l won't be spending lots of time on the beach - and even the tourists are complaining. November and cooler weather seems so far away. What do l do in the meantime to keep cool? What do you do? Any suggestions? Pixabay image.

Early morning is nice and pleasant. Later in the day it gets yuk. Just cool drinks and the AC is all I can suggest.

My favorite time of day is early in the morning, also:) It's my quiet time with God, to thank him for all he's doing. I am glad when day is done and the heat quite often leaves.

@Kandae11 Last night was too warm, then we got a heavy shower.

Unless there is a wind the nights are hot as well, until about 2 am.

I get a cold, damp cloth and put it in the freezer for awhile, then put it around my neck. But I have an air conditioner I use as well, which trumps a cold cloth. I just bought a new fan too.

The cold cloth is a very good idea. Cooling whichever section of the house you happen to be.

That's cool. You have more time to get certain things done before the real heat steps in.

I woke up this morning, and it was already warm. I opened the patio door and there wasn't even a breeze. The air was stifling. I will need to turn the A/C on for a little while to get rid of the stuffiness. I have the fans going, but it's not enough.

I was afraid of that happening. Some mornings are not as cool as they used to be.

When it's so hot it can be hard to find ways to keep cool. If it's too extreme, you can sit with your feet in a basin of water perhaps.

@Kandae11 Possibly just having them in water would be helpful. And a wet towel around your neck might help too.

I try to stay home if it's too hot. Drink lots of water and turn on the A/C or fan alternatively.

I don't have A/C. Living so close to the sea l never thought l would need it.
