Another Monday Rolls Around

Happy Monday Everyone! it's sunny and HOT here today. Looks like a few days of unbearable heat and then by the weekend we should get a break.
I was up early because the dog wanted to go out. Guess I'm on her schedule not mine 
Took advantage and got some stuff done and now I can relax, enjoy my coffee and chat.
My son, daughter in law and two grandsons surprised me with a visit yesterday. I wasn't expecting them but I was more than thrilled to see them. They brought pizza so I didn't even have to worry about what to offer them to eat.
I also got a phone call from my daughter which was another surprise. They're having a great time on the cruise and I'm really happy that she's enjoying herself and away from all her work stress for awhile.
Nothing else going on here and I'm ready for a regular Monday.

@Marilynda1225 I just turned mine off. It was too cold here. I have the ceiling fan and the wind tunnel going though.

That all sounds so wonderful.
How thoughtful of them to stop in and bring pizza, that was a nice treat.
I went back to work today, and am starting 30 minutes earlier, now that I am finished for the day, I wonder if I will like these new hours. I am very tired and dragging my tail, but it is Monday, so I guess that could explain alot.

@Marilynda1225 It was tough, and I was so relaxed from being on vacation that it hit me hard.
I work an extra 30 minutes on Mondays also, which allows me to finish earlier (2:30 in the afternoon) on Thursdays. I like that because if I need to make any appointments during business hours that will be my day for it.
I had a nephew (in his 50's) text me last evening around 8pm, and I was already in bed. I hope that he doesn't think that I was ignoring him.

@Juliaacv I'm sure the same thing is going to happen to my daughter when she gets home and has to go back to the Monday workweek.
Leaving early on Thursdays sounds like a good swap for that extra time on Mondays. I can imagine that by 8pm you were in bed and ready to call it a day. I'm sure you'll catch up with your nephew today.

The first day back is always hardest. Starting earlier seems like it would be nice especially if your day ends earlier too. Guess it will take a few days to get back into the swing of work days again.

What a great surprise! It must have been such a treat to see them, and then to get assurance from your daughter she is having fun is pretty cool too. 
I wish you could come visit me while my dad and stepmom are gone. We would have such a good time!

Your son is very thoughtful to bring pizza. I seem to end up on a cat schedule myself. We are sharing in you hot weather. It was over 100 yesterday, but should be in low 90's today. Tomorrow will be nice for our trip to Wichita.

Your son and daughter may worry that you feel lonely by yourself. That's why your son visited you and your daughter called you. They care about you a lot. I'm happy for you.

What two lovely surprises you had! I always stress a bit if people arrive unexpectedly and I think they might want a meal.
