So many warnings about this wild weather!

All we can really do when we hear wild weather is coming is to get ready, charge up our stuff, secure our outside things that could blow away, and wait. Time will tell if this hits late tonight. Tornadoes also possible, but it seems the winds will be the biggest threat. Meteorologist Kevin Lighty · The wind gusts tonight are going to be NO JOKE. Bring things in. Take down patio umbrellas. Make sure trampolines are secured. Don't park under a tree. 80mph winds will re-locate almost anything not secured.

I hope you stay safe. Trampolines really seem to take off whenever there is any wind around.

@MarieCoyle Oh dear! Do you have somewhere safe(r) that you can go to when these tornadoes happen? Please stay safe. I would hate for you to disappear.

@JudyEv It's about as safe here as it is anywhere that doesn't have a basement. We do take every precaution possible to be safe. Thank you so much for your concern!

They really do. Luckily, my neighbors do not have any. But not far away there are horrible winds, 100+MPH! We are under a tornado warning. So if I disappear, you'll know why!

We were very fortunate, it was all around us. So many were flooded. We were fine, thank you.

@much2say Thank you. I am always glad when it all goes around us, but I feel badly for the people who were hit hard.

It’s all done, car in garage, outside stuff secured, emergency weather radio is charged and so are phones etc. Since we had so much warning, we probably won’t get much, that’s how it usually works! Thank you, Kayla.

It would be great if we could control the weather. Here in the UK the position of the jet stream seems to determine what the weather will be like. For most of the summer, the jet stream has been flowing south of us, so we are getting cooler, wetter days. In Southern Europe, they are having a heatwave. I hate the wind. Fortunately it hasn’t been windy here for a few weeks, but we often have strong winds which can pose a danger to life. Stay safe!

@MarieCoyle Cheers. Not so much wind here now, it’s the humidity that’s killing me. How do I combat that?

Our weather this summer has been very odd. Some horribly hot days, some cooler days. Either no rain for days, or a monsoon shows up.
