When I was a kid in the 1960's my favorite show was "Gunsmoke". We also watched "The Big Valley", "Bonanza" "High Chaparral" ,"Wagon Train", "The Virginian", "The Wild Wild West.", "Death Valley Days" and some other's.
As I got older I watched "The Young Riders" and "Dr Ouinn: Medicine Woman" Even later "1883" came out that I really liked.
Then in my 50's more older I saw for the first time these show's and really liked them, "Laramie", "Wanted Dead or Alive"," Cheyenne", " The Rifleman", " Tales of Wells Fargo" and especially "Rawhide".
Now there was a show starring Richard Boone, that was a fine actor, but I thought the show was stupid "Have Gun Will Travel" Also when I was a child I saw the silliest show but had a lot of great actors performing in it, "Laredo".
Do you like western shows ? If so which ones?

I remember Bonanza, Wild Wild West and Gunsmoke when the shows played on Panamanian television in Spanish on weekends.

The repeats are on TV now. In the USA anyway. Can you get insp or Metv channels in Austrailia? I didn't get to see some of the shows that were on in 1950's that my mom told me about till the repeats came on when I was 51 (channels I had anyway). I watch Rawhide, Laramie, Tales of Wells Fargo and The Rifleman a lot now. But of course Gunsmoke will always be my favorite!

I'm not a Western fan. I leave that to my husband. Have a good day.

Bonanza came on either before or after Walt Disney. Wagon Train and Rawhide were my favorite. There was another one I think called Rebel. I was more into I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, and Gidget..oh and the Flying Nun. Now days I watch reruns of Murder She Wrote, Roseanne, Columbo, Perry Mason, In The Heat of The Night, and Monk...when I see them listed. Love watching all the CSI, The Closer, and Law N Order. But only on weekends or when there isn't anything else to watch...of course, I really do not Watch...I listen until I it gets quiet or the music changes..then I look to see what happened. LOL
