How Would a Man Feel?

I'm sure many of us have joked about it before. But, have you really set down and thought about the seriousness of this? Women have gained some rights over the years but it has been a slow and arduous trek to just the bare minimum of what we need to survive in this world. Let's take a look at just a few of the main things that women put up with and think about what if the tables were turned and it was a man having to put up with these things: * If someone could overpower him and have his way with him sexually and then when he goes to report it he is told people probably won't believe him and that he shouldn't go forward with a lawsuit or any kind of justice.(Some men have already gone through this.) * Job promotions keep going to the opposite sex and he is continually overlooked for them. * His son has less rights than he did in his earlier life. * How would a man live through say 16 straight hours of excruciating pain? * A stranger of the opposite sex sets down laws that govern how he can take care of his own body and he has no say in it. How do you think a man would react to any one of these?

He would be angry and he won't accept any of these. And I don't think many men would be able to tolerate excruciating pain.

That's why men don't get pregnant... they'd die in labor, if not before.

I have read your list and could even come up with more. But I always think that in most countries there are the same amount of men and of women. So, if you have right to vote and live in a country where women have that right, why not vote against the laws that tell you what to do with your body? Women can make a change. If they want to do it.

I think those were the major ones I thought of though. Yes, women can make a change but, they must use their voices. Many can't or won't do that.

@celticeagle I had a close friend who was always getting involved in women´s rights. Once she was very angry and tld me that some women were so dumb that she should not waste her time with them. Even my youngest daughter, a lawyer and a judge, let her man abuse her psychologically for some years until my granddaughter told her that enough was enough. Thanks be given that the house they lived in was hers. She finally showed him the door.

I'm totally with you but I will say that though I can't relate to the other items, I've had several kidney stones, so I know what 16 straight hours of excruciating pain is like. For the record, I never want to go through it again.

@xander6464 .........But those old white male politicians are the ones making the laws that doctors have to go by.

@celticeagle Another thing I can say is that old white male politicians weren't telling the doctors how to treat me.

I have experienced several of these things. But remember that I am in academics and teaching, as well as counseling. We live in a new era. No, I cannot imagine giving birth.

It is a new era. I have to try to remember that there are many good people out there in the world too. Some of the horrid stories I hear about what people do to one another is just mind-boggling.

There are many women out there who are still going through lots of things because they are female. . Would a man allow himself to be constantly beaten by his wife?
