I'm so old I remember when there was only 1 kind of Cheerios

And now there are like 11 or some such (I just checked and crap it is even worse than that - 14 of them ). Lord knows how we made it through puberty without the other 13 kinds. Sorta like there used to be 6 basic types of weed and now there are several hundred kinds. Life is complicated these days.

Yup. And I noticed many of these weird flavors end up at this particular food outlet grocery store for pretty cheap . It's not just Cheerios . . . there are other versions of cereals that have no business having other flavors!

A person has to wonder just who sits around and thinks up some of this stuff.

@MarieCoyle Have you seen the "mini" cereals? There exist mini cereals of Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese's, Lucky Charms, and I think even Cheerios too. Right - who thinks up this stuff!

@much2say No, I honestly don’t buy cold cereal much, I did buy a version of Rice Crispy cereal a few month ago, to make the marshmallow treats for a little one who had been sick and expressed a desire to have some, but other than that, I honestly think future most part I just don’t care for cold cereal much. There are so many different kinds now I have completely lost track.

Choices everyone wants them and then they complain about making tough decisions-go figure.

Too bad we don't get 14 choices for President in the USA.

@Scarred4Lyfe You probably will, between Kayne and all of the other nut jobs that 'say' that they want the job. Of course the big difference is that without 14 choices of Cheerios as kids, it did not kill us, but if you have 14 choices of presidents, that could do some damage.

There are simply too many choices of things, it takes forever for a person to find what they want at the store. I was looking for a certain Ranch dressing for my elderly neighbor when I went to Meijer last week, he asked me to check. They have basically every choice in the world there, so I was sure I could find it for him. I counted over 33 choices of Ranch dressing, and there were some empty slots for other kinds. I did find what he wanted, but sheesh...what ever happened to just one or two choices? So ridiculous. A friend stopped by last night with a 6 pack of Coke--a kind I had never heard of. I am not a soda lover so I rarely even try any, other than Sprite when I am sick. But I was brave, and poured a tiny, tiny bit in a glass to taste it. All I can say is, whoever invents this stuff doesn't ever taste it. So disgusting. Tasted like a mouthful of chemicals. ''Zero calorie cola, raspberry spiced and other natural flavors'' Coca-Cola Spiced Zero. So, so nauseating.

Never been a Coke person, don't really like Pepsi much, but ol' Doc Pepper has done a few interesting flavors.

@Scarred4Lyfe I drank Dr. Pepper sometimes long ago and enjoyed it at the time. But this stuff was truly nasty!

We're forever needing to make all kinds of decisions. No wonder some of us suffer from procrastination.

I thought there was one kind of weed! lol I looked for regular Kellogg's corn flakes one day. They didn't have any! Only the generic brands, in the plain flavored They were like eating cardboard, with milk and sugar on top

If I had to eat cereal...which I don't care for anymore...I'd want plain Cheerios. Have a good weekend.
