Leticia is better.

I just called Leticia. She had gone to the doctor (a paid one so she was seen immediatly). He asked for several exams because he was worried about a huge pain in her chest. And nobody knows what can happen when a car hits you. But the doctor said that she had been lucky. The whole process of healing would be long and painful. But she did not have anything too terrible. As she did not go to the doctor in her Insurance (which is the worst insurance we have for the poor people) but got an appointment elsewhere, she has to pay for everything. The doctor gave her a prescription for pain but she has to pay for the meds. I have the same pain pills but the government gives them to me as people here with arthrosis are in a special plan with other chronic ailments. I have some meds that I take faithfully every day and others that I forget to take. The doctor also prescribed Diclofenac cream and I have so many of those that I could start selling them. So I told Leticia to send someone and I could give her enough meds for 4 months. When you buy those meds you think that 30 pills will last a lot. But they disappear before you know it. I´m very glad that although her recovery will take time, she is on her way to do it. I was very worried for her. Thank you all that have prayed for her or sent good thoughts. All that helps.

It is no small problem to be run over by a car. My friend Dixie was run over 2 years ago and she has a big problem in one of her legs.

I discovered that I had meds enough for 4 months to give to her. Meds here are very expensive if you have to buy them yourself. These meds that I am giving are given to me by the government who takes care of some chronic ailments among which they have an arhrosis program.

Still she will have pain for months. One of her ribs is fractured and there´s nothing to do but wait. And she is 72 years old so it is more difficult for bones to mend.

She is spending a lot of money because her own insurance will not take much care of her. So I´m glad I have the meds she needs to help out.
