19 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from pleasant Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. Right now, it's 80 F at 8:45 p.m. It's been a good day. I have so much to be thankful for today. I'm thankful I was born 71 years ago today. It's been a rough life, but these last ten years have been wonderful. I'm thankful for my children. My daughter texted me early, then called and we talked for a while. I then talked to my son. His girlfriend came over with purple roses. They're gorgeous. I'll have pictures tomorrow. I'm thankful for my granddaughter who also texted me early and then called me around noon and I talked to my great grandchildren too. It was awesome! I'm thankful my sister called. She and my brother-in-law were coming to Green Bay today, so I invited them to the party. It was so good to see them. They didn't stay long enough to eat as they were going to a baseball game their grandson was in tonight. I'm thankful one of my grandson's texted me today. It was great hearing from him. I'm thankful for the spur of the moment party. It was great! I have a lot of pictures to download. The food was awesome! I made Zucchini, baked potatoes, and supplied the green onions and sour cream. My friend the chef provided the steaks, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and the carrot cake. It was so good. I couldn't eat all my steak, so I have a lot left. There were nine people altogether. Seven ate dinner. I also made fresh squeezed lemonade. It was awesome! So was the party. My friend the chef did a great job on the grill. So, the first day of my new year turned out perfect. I also spent time here this morning and tonight. I played my games, and walked the trail - the industrial section and the pond section. With the party, I have over 15K steps. I needed to turn off the phone as I was at 9% at the party. So, I'm only guessing at the last thousand steps. I'm finally at 46%. My friend will be sharing photos from her phone so I have them.
