To bathing suit or not to bathing suit

I am seriously procrastinating right now. My niece's birthday party starts in like half an hour and I haven't even showered yet. I typically get stressed if I am going to wind up late somewhere but this morning I just can't seem to care. I'm freeing myself from that pressure. I am not the star of the show. Everyone else shows up at the time of their choosing. The Earth will still rotate if I get there half an hour late. My first-world dilemma today is whether or not I should wear my bathing suit. My sister's new house has a pool and supposedly the water temperature is 90 degrees. If I wasn't at the party I'd be in the pool here. That's what I like to do--soak in the pool and soak up the rays. That being said the pool will be filled with screaming children and that will likely drive my anxiety off the charts. The alternative then is to have to talk to people like an adult. Ugh. Hide in the pool with the kids or act like an adult? Hell. I think I'm going to have to adult.
