Rina Pesner who is the owner of Rebels Homestead farm in Bangor Maine opened the gate of her farm to allow a veterinarian to come and clean out the teeth of her male llama named Jeffrey. The incident happened on Wednesday July 10 when Rina contacted the Bangor Police Department to report that her llama ran away from the farm for a brief period of time. By the time Bangor Police Department Animal Control Officer Trish Bruen arrived at the farm, Jeffrey returned home safely, Rina did take care of bolstering her fences two years ago after two of her hogs managed to escape only to the Bangor Police return her hogs safely. I guess he didn't want his teeth cleaned.

The llama wanted to see the world outside of the farm or maybe she and Jeffrey had a fight

My neighbors that are working on the house next door have llamas, goats and horses. We had someone lose their pet pig here last year. I am sure this was interesting for her neighbors in Bangor.

It was interesting for the neighbors near the farm to see a loose llama on the road.

It could be alarming to run into a llama loose on the street, as I believe if spooked, they have a powerful kick.

I really find llamas to be so adorable. But I really don't have any idea what made a llama different from an alpaca.

The same feeling I have trying to figure out the difference between llamas and alpacas myself.
