Greeted by Floodwaters

I woke up today because of the message alarm from the NDRRMC about the weather conditions. Due to the continuous heavy rain, many areas are now flooded. The places we passed through on our way to the repair shop recently are now chest-deep in water. All classes in schools and government offices have been suspended. When I opened the door to our house, I was met by floodwater. It’s already halfway up my legs and almost submerging my e-bike’s flooring, so I quickly moved it to a higher place to prevent any damage. Many roads are also impassable due to the depth of the floodwater. Our school is also flooded. Just in case of a power outage, I charged both my phone and my mother’s phone. Some people are already asking for help as they can't leave their homes due to the high water levels, while others who can still manage to get out are heading to evacuation centers. How's the weather in your place?

True. We get first dibs on Pacific typhoons before we send them to China, Japan and Taiwan. (Sometimes it veers toward Vietnam.)

I'd be investing in a boat, so when that happens you have a way to get out if you need to. but as far as the weather here, they've been calling for rain BUT so far we have seen NONE in our area as of yet.

@annierose it don't have to be a big 1 just 1 that you can use a paddle with or a small motor is all.

@2ndchances24 That's a great idea, Gayle! A small paddle or motor boat could be really helpful for situations like this. Thanks for the suggestion!
