Corporal Pat Clark who is employed by the Durham County Sheriffs Office (DCSO) was at the right place at the right time on Monday when the streets in Durham rose and caused flooding in the area which had one auto underneath the water that reached 5.5 feet. Officer Clark and a stranger worked together to attend the driver who was inside of an auto that was underwater to get the man out of the auto and drive the accident victim to his home the same evening. Officer Clark admitted that he enjoys his work of serving his community and saving the life of a stranger who likely will learn his lesson never to drive an auto in a flooded area again since the slogan is "Turn around. Don't drown."

What a scary position inside that car. I am afraid of the water and I would be done for. Thank goodness for Officer Clark and this stranger. Glad the officer enjoys his job. It certainly can't be easy.

I am in agreement with you that Officer Clark and the stranger did their job to save a life of a driver who nearly drowned in the watery road.

The driver did not know that driving in a thunderstorm is a recipe for disaster when the roads get flooded.

It is hard to get out of a car that is under flood water. You should turn around and go back.

That is a fearful thing to be submerged in water in a car. He was lucky there were good people around to rescue him.
