24 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from warm, breezy, Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 72 F right now and feels wonderful outside.
It's been a good day. I know, I say it all the time. Yet, it is a good day.I'm thankful for so many things every day. Today is no different.
I'm thankful for the 8+ hours of sleep I got last night. It wasn't without interruption, but it was still 8 hours. I've been going strong since.
I'm thankful for the walk I took around the complex this morning, and the trail this afternoon. I have all my steps. I still needed Ibuprofen, but my leg is feeling so much better, which is why I tried the pond trail this afternoon.
I'm thankful for my friend who organized my party on Friday. I saw her today and got the one gift that didn't make it home on Friday. It's a fanny pack, purple. I love it! I was surprised it didn't come home with me when we cleaned up on Friday.
I'm thankful for all of you here. You're such wonderful caring people. I love visiting with you in your part of the world to see what you're doing.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Guns of War today. Minor editing as I read through to the end where I left off. I need to get back to the books I'm editing to publish. Maybe tomorrow.
I'm thankful for the weather. It's beautiful. Having the 50s when I got up this morning is usually a dream for this time of year when it's always so hot. Even 72 without humidity is wonderful.
I'm thankful for the surprise from the utility company today. I looked at the bill and then had to go through the recycling for the rest of the mail I got today. Energy Assistance paid the summer utility bill. I am so blessed, especially with how much I ran the A/C this month.

You truly have so much to be thankful for, and I'm glad you don't take any of it for granted.
I'm thankful for the rain we got last night and then again this afternoon. We really needed it.

@kareng We’ve had a pretty dry summer so far, but this week it has been raining every night. Not the normal afternoon showers we typically get, but monsoon thunderstorms overnight. Pretty unusual, but we’ll take the rain any way we can get it.

@moffittjc Thank you. I learned not to take things for granted. You never know when you won't or can't do what you always did.

You have had a very blessed day.
Our granddaughters each have a fanny pack, but they are so small that they wear it over their shoulder like a purse.
It is so funny.
I am thankful that I was able to finish work early today and go and play with the twins.
Harper did not have her nap today so she was cranky, but hopefully she will nap tomorrow and it will be a much better day.

@just4him I went from working 2 or 3 days a week to 5 days a week in January 2020 when covid hit.
I even would volunteer to work 4 to 6 hours on my day off which meant that I was working 6.5 days per week. Now I feel blessed that I can take time off as I did so much when our customers really needed it, and now there is less need. I got ahead and saved and now can ease up on the hours that I work.

I am thankful for each new day. Right now I am getting e mails about back to school and I am excited/thankful about some staffing changes and also that "the powers that be" help us get the additional training we need in a troubled world.

I am thankful that I got the last coat of primer on the chicks growout box before the rain hit today and got them all moved to their new home!
Thankful that I decided to stay home and not do the flea market run. I was tired and didn't need to drive in bad weather.
