The taxi was 5 minutes late picking me up to go to art class today, and I was starting to panic. Eventually he came and we set off. I got to the hall and went to the toilet, then I got myself a cup of tea. Lee came in, and she had a companion with her! Another Westie called Ella. She used to be a show dog, but apparently her teeth are out of line or something, so they rejected her! How could they? She is absolutely adorable! She was on her lead, and she started to explore the hall. She came up to me and decided to go through my legs! Then she went back round me, and I started getting wrapped up in her lead! I was crying with laughing! It really cheered me up! Lee came up and took her lead off her. I went and sat down at my desk to drink my cup of tea. Then Ella decided to go walkies through the door! Tina the tutor raced out after her calling Ella! This way, in here! When she was back inside Lee put her lead back on her. We were doing Birch trees today. (See picture above.) First we did the background wet in wet with phthalo blue mixed with a little bit of yellow at the top (not too much yellow or it will turn green), and phthalo blue mixed with red at the bottom, so the bottom is darker than the top. I tried to get it to gradually get darker towards the bottom, but that failed! When that was dry we put in the Birch trees. I drew in where some of the Birch trees were going to be. We used palette knives. We put a dab of white in a few places on the edge of the palette knife, then bits of grey inbetween, then some black. Then we scraped it across from left to right, turning it slightly to resemble the roundness of the Birch trees. We did this all the way down the Birch tree, adding more paint to the palette knife when needed. I did this with all the largest Birch trees. The narrower ones inbetween were just done with a brush. When that was dry we started on the leaves. I used red and yellow straight from the tube for a lot of the leaves. I used a palette knife for these too. When I'd dabbed on a lot of red and yellow leaves I mixed an orange and added orange leaves too. I mixed some green using the phthalo blue mixed with the yellow, and added some green leaves. I experimented with some other colours for leaves and added them too. I finished the painting at around 4:00pm again, but it still wasn't quite dry by 5:00pm. At around 4:50pm we went and put our paintings on the floor for people to look at. When I got ready to go I put one of my other paintings on top of today's painting so that any part of the painting that was still wet would go onto the back of my previous painting and not on the inside of my bag or whatever. When I went outside my taxi still wasn't there. When it was nearly 5:15pm I phoned the taxi place to see where my taxi was. My taxi came at nearly 5:20pm! At last I got home. I'm a bit fed up of the stress of taxis, so if my friend Yasmin can't come with me next year, I'm not going! Anyway, what have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.

Sad to hear your taxi was late. I know how frustrating that can be. Depending on others and all. The dog shows Curcuit's loss is Lee's gain. Animals really have a way of cheering us humans up, don't they? Sounds like an interesting art class.

Depending on Uber or a taxi, is not the best way to travel. They can arrive whenever, which isn't good!

@kobesbuddy Yes. I mean it was better last year, when they'd turn up early. But they charged me £10. These lot charge £8.80 (it used to be £7.80) but they turn up late half the time! What's a girl to do?
